Very poor experience and customer service from Severen. I had provided all pertinent information within email for the portions of the work which needed completed on my house, including the monetary amount provided from the insurance company for a storm door replacement as well as a portion of a screen porch which was ripped off. This detail was cited in the email provided to the company along with the picture of the area needing fixed. One of their employees had even been to my residence and saw the work that needed done. I received a quote for work and agreed to it, only to get a call back that THEY did not consider the portion of the screen porch that needed replaced. I wasn't upset that the amount was going to be more if that is what is needed to do the job. Fair is fair. I even said that my only frustration lay in the fact that they didn't look at all the detail I provided them a week earlier before giving an estimate and that I planned for workers to come out only to hear that now I have to go back and work with the insurance company to dispute the scope, and wait even longer. The response I received from expressing my mild frustration was him trying to put the blame on me as the customer and only after much discussion did he grudgingly accept even a small portion of the blame. He tried to mention something about me not providing the insurance paperwork, but frankly all they need to see is the amount for both parts of the porch that the insurance company gave me, which i provided to them. Either you can do the work for that amount or not, it is that simple. If they couldn't I would have gone back to the insurance company to obtain the additional needed. After attempting to berate me and desperately wanting me to "share" responsibility for me simply expressing frustration, he started to say that they don't think they should work with me. He appeared to be more interested in arguing than in obtaining business. I am in customer service myself and understand difficult customers, but I was expressing very mild frustration and he blew this way out of proportion. I am uncertain if he was just having a bad day, but this interaction left me thinking he does not know how to work with people very well. I would be concerned to see him with an actual challenging customer or how he would handle a customer if their company does something wrong on a job and the customer expresses any frustration about it.
